Stay With Me is a timer they start, not a tracker, and it isn't a medical device. It needs their iPhone with them and charged. As needs change, ask your local police about the Herbert Protocol.
Privacy

LockSafe is not an emergency service. It does not contact the police, ambulance or fire services. If you are in danger, call 999 whenever you can.

Billed by Apple; renews automatically until cancelled in your device Settings under your Apple ID. We never see your card details. There is no free trial.
Got a LockSafe text?
Got an emergency link and don't know why?
Someone added you as their trusted emergency contact. You'll only ever hear from LockSafe when that person first invites you, or if they trigger an alert.
You can decline. The invitation has a Decline button, and declining is permanent. They cannot re-invite you through the app.
Nothing about you is shared with them, and nothing is shared with you outside an active alert.
Need help, or want your data removed?
Email support@locksafe.help and a human will reply. Include the email address on your account.
You can also delete your account and everything associated with it at any time from inside the app: Settings, then Delete account.
Common questions
Who actually gets my alert?
Only the trusted contacts you added and who accepted your invitation, up to five people. LockSafe never routes your alert to a call centre, a community of strangers, or anyone you didn't choose. Come Get Me goes to just the one person you pick.
Why is LockSafe a subscription, not free?
To protect your data. Free apps have to make money somehow, and often it's advertising or selling on what they know about you. LockSafe is funded only by subscriptions, so we don't sell your data, run ads or use third-party analytics. You're the customer, never the product.
Does LockSafe track me all the time?
No. It asks for "Always" location permission so sharing keeps working when your screen locks during an emergency, but collection only ever happens while an alert you started is active. You can decline the permission; the app still works, and tells you plainly that sharing will pause when the screen locks.
What's the difference between Emergency, Come Get Me and Stay With Me?
Emergency alerts your whole circle with your live location. Come Get Me is a calm, non-emergency request to one person, with where you are. Stay With Me is a journey timer: nothing is shared unless you miss your check-in, and then your circle is alerted.
What if I have no signal when I press the button?
LockSafe tells you, in unmissable red, that the alert was not sent, with a Retry button for the moment you have signal and a reminder to call 999 if you can. It never pretends your contacts were warned when they weren't.
Do my contacts need to download LockSafe?
No. Your contacts get a text invitation and tap to accept. If you ever raise an alert, they get a text with a private web link showing where you are, with one-tap call or text. It works on any phone with a browser.
Is LockSafe on Android?
LockSafe is available now on iPhone from the App Store, and it's coming soon to Google Play. Your contacts don't need an iPhone: alerts reach any phone by text.
I forgot my PIN.
On the lock screen, tap "Forgot PIN? Sign out and reset". You sign in again with your account password and set a new PIN. Your contacts stay exactly as they were.
